Mark Nepo
Rev. Matthew Pulis is a Maltese Catholic priest and the parish priest of Manikata. He is currently reading for a Doctorate in Practical Theology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, with a research focus on the use of pastoral language among youths in Maltese Catholic secondary schools. His academic interests include digital theology, youth ministry, identity formation, and the influence of media ecology. In addition to occasional seminars, he lectures at the University of Malta and the Pastoral Formation Institute.
Matthew has extensive experience working with young people aged 10 to 35. His pastoral ministry has consistently centred around youth accompaniment. He has served in the parishes of Kalkara, Ħad-Dingli, and Marsaskala, and is currently chaplain at St Joseph School, Sliema. He has also led several intercultural and faith-based initiatives, including Erasmus+ mobility projects. In every pastoral context, he has been involved in journeying with individuals and couples navigating life challenges such as infertility, discernment, and marriage preparation.
